Mark has a proven CEO and Managing Director track record, including leading complex collaborations, national infrastructure projects and international trade deals. He is well-versed in securing funding, investment, and partnerships for large-scale research and development projects involving multiple stakeholders. Some of his achievements include co-founding the Medicines Discovery Catapult, securing a $21m R&D investment from Teva Pharmaceuticals, co-chairing the transformation programme for NICE’s evaluation of medical technologies, and chairing the board that established the UK Stem Cell Transplant clinical trials partnership. He also holds a PGDip in Organisational Leadership from the University of Oxford and is a former Policy Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
