The Left Shift with Scott McKenzie

Monday 28th September 2026 13:00 - 14:00 (BST)

Why NHS care is moving beyond hospitals – and what it means for Life Sciences engagement

Masterclass Details:

The NHS is undergoing a fundamental transformation in how care is delivered. Driven by workforce pressures, financial constraints and rising demand, activity is increasingly moving out of hospitals and into community, primary care and neighbourhood-based services.

This ‘left shift’ is more than a relocation of care. It represents a significant redesign of pathways, a redistribution of decision-making and a shift in where innovation is adopted across the system.

In this 60-minute masterclass, NHS transformation expert Scott McKenzie will explore what the left shift means in practice and how it is reshaping engagement for Life Sciences organisations. Drawing on real NHS experience, Scott will introduce a practical framework – the Left Shift Test – to help identify where and how care can move safely and sustainably beyond hospital settings.

Whether you work in market access, Medical Affairs or commercial roles, this session will help you understand how to align your strategy with evolving NHS priorities and position your organisation as a meaningful partner in pathway redesign.

Join live to gain practical insight into the NHS left shift and learn how to adapt your engagement strategy to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving system.
