In this highly interactive 60-minute LSAA member masterclass, Rachel Cashman, a specialist in psychological safety, well-being and resilience at work, explains the vital importance of psychological safety in the workplace and how organisations can adopt live strategies that create healthy individuals and sustainable teams.
Psychological safety in the workplace is about creating the conditions for sustainable and healthy high performance in teams. It allows people to feel safe to take interpersonal risks by speaking up, sharing ideas, innovating, challenging convention, admitting mistakes and asking questions.
Psychological safety requires a cultural shift, where everyone’s voice is valid and points of difference embraced. Ideas can be shared, questions asked and conventions challenged in a way that stimulates learning, positive risk-taking and both individual and team growth.
