The NHS and Transgender Awareness - Life Science Access Academy

In this free 60-minute Live Panel Discussion, we will focus on transgender awareness in the NHS, identifying areas of inequality of access and how service providers are working to create a more equitable and inclusive NHS. We will also discuss the effect of the Equality Act 2010 and wider social and cultural considerations that affect this important area.

The desire and need to include transgender people in the provision of healthcare, and to provide services that do not directly or indirectly discriminate against this group is the subject of much debate, both in the NHS and wider society.
