In March 2023, NHS England published its proposed changes to the contract for 2023/24. (The final year of the five-year framework agreement Investment and evolution: a five-year framework for reform of the GP contract to implement the Long-Term Plan).
The changes announced affect access, performance-based funding, workforce flexibilities and immunisations and vaccinations – all key areas in the delivery of GP services.
