Lead Pharmacist - Healthier South Wirral, Primary Care Network and Heart Failure Specialist
Rocco is currently employed as a Practice Pharmacist at Civic Medical Centre, Bebington. Previously he worked as the lead PCN pharmacist for the integrated clinical pharmacy working across South Wirral PCN and Wirral University Teaching hospital. He was employed as a heart failure pharmacist within the multi-disciplinary North East Wales heart failure service in 2009, his role was to deliver care to heart failure patients across the interface between primary and secondary care. He qualified as a non-medical prescriber in 2010.
Current interests also include lipid optimisation, frailty, and multi-morbidity medication optimisation. Rocco completed his MSc in clinical pharmacy in 2015 – the research focused on community pharmacists identifying worsening heart failure symptoms.
