Julie Oliver is an experienced healthcare professional with over two decades in women’s health services. She currently chairs the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum Community Interest Company, a role she’s held since September 2023, leading initiatives to improve women’s health care across the UK. Before this, she was the Clinical Director of the same organization, focusing on enhancing primary care services for women from August 2011 to September 2023.
Julie also serves as a General Practitioner for the NHS in Durham, a position she’s held since 2014. Since January 2007, she has been the Director of Durham Gynae, providing women’s health services to the NHS and training for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. She has also led community-based women’s health clinics.
Her academic contributions include her tenure as an Academic Tutor at the University of Sunderland from 2015 to 2021, where she developed and delivered a practice nurse contraception course.
Julie holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Leeds. Her dedication to women’s health is evident through her extensive clinical practice, leadership, and education roles.
