Assistant Director of Procurement, East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub
Joe Bassett is a highly experienced healthcare procurement specialist with over a decade of dedicated service within the NHS. He currently serves as Chair of the National Homecare Medicines Committee (NHMC) at NHS England, where he leads national strategy and standardisation initiatives to improve the delivery and governance of homecare medicines services across the health system.
In his full-time role, Joe is the Assistant Director of Procurement – Pharmacy & Healthcare Services at the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub. He brings over 11 years of expertise in pharmacy procurement, focusing on outsourced pharmacy services and the strategic planning of regional workplans that support patient care and system sustainability. Joe is also the regional lead for homecare medicines services in the East of England, and formerly chaired the NHMC Standardisation Sub-Group.
With a proven track record of driving collaborative procurement models and implementing national policy at a regional level, Joe is a trusted leader in aligning clinical, commercial, and operational priorities across NHS organisations.
