Ian spent over 30 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry, 15 in various Sales, Marketing and Management roles and the last 21 as a Learning and Development specialist, including 5 years managing a training team delivering product and skills training. He has a particular focus on Key Account Management, Marketing, Sales Management, Market Access, Coaching and Change Management.

As a Learning and Development specialist, Ian has developed and delivered many skills-based development programmes and delivered 1:1 coaching and executive coaching. He has helped a number of companies to become accredited Institute of Leadership and Management centres, giving them the ability to offer ILM courses to their employees and customers. Ian has worked with healthcare professionals on helping patients to manage lifestyle changes, including presenting at a series of Primary Care Diabetes Society meetings on the subject of sustained change in patient lifestyles and a presentation at Diabetes UK.

Ian became an independent consultant in 2015 and in the last 5 years has worked with many different companies on a wide variety of different aspects of Learning and Development. He has a particular interest in helping to successfully embed change, especially where a choice to change can be made, in areas such as lifestyle changes, behaviour change and where change is a part of influencing, negotiating and selling.
