Her tenacious commitment to improving patient care, combined with deep, hands-on experience in the healthcare environment, has driven the successful delivery of numerous partnership initiatives between healthcare stakeholders and the pharmaceutical industry.

In her most recent role within the pharmaceutical industry, Hasseena led the delivery of both branded and unbranded market access programmes in a national medicines value and patient access position. She was also responsible for analysing and interpreting the current and future healthcare landscape in relation to the company portfolio, health policy levers, and key stakeholders, ensuring this insight informed business strategy and tactics. Additionally, she holds highly sought-after industry medical signatory status, ensuring compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.

Her experience includes a national role at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), where she built on her commercial acumen while developing policy-shaping expertise. Prior to this, she spent over a decade as a senior medicines commissioner within the NHS, leveraging her deep knowledge of prescribing and medicines-related issues in the evolving health and care environment. She has successfully applied this expertise both strategically and operationally to benefit patient populations and healthcare systems.

A resourceful and responsive leader, Hasseena has a strong track record in team leadership and operational management. She has led medicines commissioning teams within the NHS and spearheaded cross-functional projects within the pharmaceutical industry, consistently driving higher standards and optimising resource use.

Her career spans the public sector (NHS), commercial roles (Sanofi & Novo Nordisk), and policy-shaping positions (ABPI), enabling her to cultivate valuable relationships with commissioners, clinicians, public health and local authority representatives, senior NHS England officials, government ministers, academic health and science networks, clinical networks, patient associations, charities, and key industry agencies.
