She was Director of Communications & Marketing at a 12,000-member black-led community organization for six years and subsequently rose to the rank of Partner at a top 10 global PR agency before setting up her own company. As Founder & Director of Transforming Words, she now provides senior communications and diversity and inclusion support to a range of clients. A former pharmacist and pharmacy journalist, in 2020 Charlotte published ‘Black in White’, a book of poems describing some of her experiences of racism and unconscious bias while working in the corporate world.
