Andrew has extensive experience in all aspects of business from manufacturing to exporting at the Director level, running successful SMEs in Life Sciences which have achieved consistent and sustainable growth.

As Managing Director of DTR Medical, which he launched in 2005, Andrew led the company to become a leading single-use surgical instrument manufacturer culminating in the successful acquisition of the business by the Innovia Medical Group in 2019. Also a director of MediWales, the life science network for Wales, and a former member of the Swansea University Medical Engineering Industrial Liaison Panel, Andrew has vast experience in the medical device industry.

Prior to his current appointment, Andrew was Sales & Commercial Director for the cleanroom contamination control business Shield Medicare for ten years before it was sold to Ecolab. His earlier career included Sales & Marketing Director for a packaging company and 15 years in blue chip pharmaceuticals in various UK & international roles.
