Allan Mackintosh joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1982 starting out as a sales executive with Ciba-Geigy before progressing to management roles with both Ciba-Geigy and Fisons. In 1992 he joined the Glaxo group of companies and worked in a number of roles including respiratory care executive, team coach and regional sales manager.
He left GSK in 2001 to pursue a self-employed career and ran two management and team development businesses before being attracted back into pharma in 2009 when he joined Grunenthal in performance coaching and regional manager roles. His final employed stint in the industry was with Vifor Pharma as a trainer before once again deciding to follow his passion for team development and rebrand his development consultancy as Partners Team Development. Allan has a passion for teams, having been involved in both sports and corporate team development for over 40 years. He is seen as one the leading lights in team and personal development, having developed innovative coaching and team development models such as DIAMOND-MOTIVATION and PARTNERS.
He is also an established author having had numerous articles published in pharma and sales journals as well as publishing his books, “The Successful Coaching Manager” and “Team Champion – Taking Teamwork Seriously”.
