Pharma: Achieving relevancy and true partnership with the NHS

Monday 21st September 2026 13:00 - 14:00 (BST)

Moving beyond intent to build meaningful, sustainable NHS partnerships

Masterclass Details:

For over three decades, pharma and the NHS have worked to strengthen partnership approaches. From evolving compliance frameworks to new account models and government strategies, significant effort has been made to align around shared goals of value, innovation and patient access. But the question remains – are these partnerships truly delivering in practice?

As the NHS continues to evolve, with increasing local variation and system complexity, the challenge of achieving meaningful collaboration has become more nuanced. While the rhetoric of integrated care and pathway value is strong, the reality often includes siloed budgets, shifting priorities and constrained access.

In this 60-minute masterclass, David Thorne, Transformation Director at Well Up North PCN, brings over 35 years of experience across pharma and the NHS to explore what real partnership looks like today. Drawing on both strategic and frontline perspectives, David will share honest insights into what works, what doesn’t and where opportunities genuinely exist.

The session will focus on practical ways pharma teams can remain relevant, build trust and develop long-term partnerships that stand up in the current NHS environment. You’ll gain a clearer understanding of how to navigate national strategy, local implementation and the realities of system decision-making.

Join live to hear real-world examples, gain practical advice and explore how to approach NHS engagement with greater confidence and impact.
